    TGV stands for  «
Train a Grande Vitesse » in French. The TGV is a fast train.
Next to Metz, there is a station in Louvigny.

The network of the TGV
is very vast in France. (TGV lines in blue)
 

    Some people take it every day because we
aren’t too far from Paris. It only takes 1 hour and 25
minutes to go to Paris. 36 000 persons take this line every day.
 

    The speed of the TGV is 300 kilometres
per hour, but its record is 574, 8 kilometres per hour (video:

    But the most famous is the line Paris to
Metz because it’s a new line and in 2015, the line should
link Paris to Budapest.

    A ticket for on trip costs 50 €
for 2nd class and 89 € for 1st class. But when you buy a
ticket in advance (a few month before…) you can have it for
15 € (Paris-Reims), 20 € (Paris-Metz) and 25
€ (Paris-Strasbourg) for 2nd class. We think that
it’s not very expensive.
 The line (Paris-Strasbourg) stretch on 300 kilometres.

    For 1st class cars there are a lot of
big and wide armchairs and they are grey. In 2nd class, armchairs are
purple and orange, they are a little bit smaller than in 1st

    The new thing is that you can surf on
the net when you are in the TGV. It’s very nice! There are 2
or 3 conductors in the train (every conductor speaks French and German
on the line Paris-Strasbourg)…

    They have a grey cap, a tie, a white or
purple shirt, and a grey or purple jacket on.
   
Christian Lacroix is the designer of the seats and the
employees’ uniforms…
